More than 100 Carpenters showed up to Local 213 to Get Out The Vote for LA County Supervisor Mark Ridley Thomas, LA Council Member David Ryu, El Monte Mayor Andre Quintero, and El Monte City Councilman Jerry Velasco. The Carpenters picked up campaign lawn signs and went house-to-house delivering the signs to members in the candidates’ districts.
“You get registered to vote, you have a voice,” said SWRCC President, Pete Rodriguez. “We need to make sure we have the equipment and the wherewithal to get our folks registered to vote. They have to vote; otherwise they’re voiceless.”
The Southwest Regional Council of Carpenters will continue the Get Out The Vote campaign until Election Day.
