New Mexico Carpenters Win 2nd Place at Holiday Parade

Albuquerque – With their float the ‘Polar Express,’ New Mexico Carpenters took home 2nd place in Albuquerque’s annual holiday ‘Twinkle Light’ parade.

In preparation for Saturday’s parade, your brothers and sisters spent over 2 weeks and several long nights building the life-size wooden Polar Express. The float was then emblazoned with Southwest Regional Council of Carpenters (SWRCC) and New Mexico livery. And, of course, covered in thousands of holiday lights. In an incredible show of solidarity, fraternity, and holiday spirit over 50 carpenters, their friends, and families walked in the parade alongside the award-winning float.

“Parade participants were judged in various categories ranging from walking groups to show cars and community to commercial.” An annual holiday event, the Twinkle Light parade was ranked 2nd in the country for holiday parades by USA Today.

Congratulations New Mexico Carpenters!
