Career Connections Program

INTEGRATE CARPENTRY INTO YOUR SCHOOL’S CURRICULUM

Zero Debt, Technical Education, College Credits, and Career Opportunities

Career Connections is the Southwest Carpenters’ premier building and construction trades pre-apprenticeship program. Every student who completes the Career Connections program gains a direct pathway into a career as a professional carpenter.

Career Connections integrates academic skills with practical applications, allowing students to evaluate career options in the building and construction industry through hands-on projects, and comprehensive academic course work. Procedures for the projects are designed to be completed using typical school shop tools and have been built and tested in UBC Training Centers. Training Centers in the southwest can be found here.

Our students receive technologically advanced training and a practical STEM education, taught by skilled and seasoned instructors, providing students with the knowledge and skills required to enroll in a registered apprenticeship program.

Over 2,500 students are currently enrolled in Southwest Carpenters’ 70+ Career Connections programs across 6 states: Southern California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, and Utah.

Certified Career Connections students may also receive dual enrollment credit through a college articulated program.

After completing Career Connections, certified pre-apprentices may enter a UBC apprenticeship program where they can earn while they learn – NO STUDENT DEBT!
