SWRCC Donates $100K to Sisters & Brothers Impacted by Hurricane Harvey
Last week the Southwest Regional Council of Carpenters’ (SWRCC) Executive Board approved a $100,000 donation to our Texas Sisters and Brothers impacted by Hurrican Harvey.
Hurrican Harvey ‘could end up being the costliest natural disaster in U.S. History.’ The devastation left by the hurricane is incomprehensible, setting the all-time record for most rainfall in the continental United States. Enough rain fell – 9 trillion gallons – to fill fourteen million Olympic-size swimming pools or cover the entire contiguous U.S. evenly with .17 inches of rain over the country.
