Union Carpenters - A Tradition of Quality - A Heritage of Strength

The Southwest Regional Council of Carpenters represents over 65,000 union carpenters in five states. We are dedicated to raising area standards for all carpenters in SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, NEVADA, ARIZONA, UTAH, and NEW MEXICO.

Skill and productivity are the keys to success as a carpenter and having access to experienced, well-trained craftsmen and women is a key to success for our contractors. To this end the Southwest Regional Council, working in partnership with our union signatory employers, spends more than $28 million every year to provide training to our members. This training is provided through the Southwest Carpenters Training Fund and their 14 state-of-the-art training centers.

The Southwest Regional Council is proud to be affiliated with the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America (UBC). The Southwest Regional Council is the largest council in the Brotherhood and was formed over the years through the consolidation of smaller district or state councils. The large regional council structure provides greater flexibility to members and employers, optimizes the use of resources and helps to stabilize the market.
